01
Design and Molding
Each bell begins with a personalized design. We record the parish's data, the community's name, the religious dedication and images of the patron saint. Our craftsmen create a custom clay mold.
Mold materials: clay, coal, ash, cattle hair. Approx. time: 3 weeks.
02
Metal Casting
Copper, bronze and tin are the ideal materials to ensure a pure and lasting sound over time. The metal is melted in a refractory furnace at 1,200 °C with the exact composition based on the chosen quality.
Economy: 100% bronze · Basic: 70% copper + 30% bronze · Premium: 80% copper + 20% tin.
03
Pouring and Cooling
The molten metal is poured into the mold with millimetric precision and left to gradually cool to ensure structural integrity and the desired resonance. This process requires experience and rigorous control.
Cooling time: 48 to 72 hours depending on the bell's size.
04
Finishing and Installation
Once unmolded, the bell's surface is finished, the sound is verified and it is prepared for safe transport. We perform professional installation in the bell tower with accompaniment through commissioning.
Includes custom engraving, yoke installation and ringing mechanisms.
